The Case of Mondays

Yup. The dreaded Monday.. that’s all I can say about today. It was the usual demanding, stressful and long Monday that it usually is. Nothing exciting to report just work and more work as usual. I’ll be honest, I finally buckled down last week and created a vision board with some good friends of mine and I was determined to see it through. So determined that I actually did stick to my newly created schedule for about 2 days and then poof! There went the highly thought out new schedule that I put into place.

So yes, I preach about the importance of setting goals and following through but quite honestly, LIFE HAPPENS. Every single day, life happens. One little screw falls in the middle of our perfectly held together plans and our house of cards suddenly come crashing down. After a while we find ourselves going over the resolutions and goals we made the year before promising ourselves that THIS YEAR will be the year. But one thing I learned in life which rings true is that insanity truly is doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting a different result. So, if I find myself not putting in the effort by not intentionally sticking to a specific set of planned goals that I have for myself, I simply ask myself, “Are you insane?”. Of course (and don’t think I am insane for asking and/or answering) the answer is No, I’m not. And if I’m not insane, it’s time for me to get off my laurels and live my life intentionally.

With that being said, I’m off to attempt to iron the kiddies clothes, as my new schedule dictates that all clothes should be prepped from the night before. This has proven to be quite the time saver in our morning rush, so rather than continue to be off track from my schedule, I’m going to go live intentionally and get back on the course of my new schedule. #pleasePrayforme
